    HAPPY SCHEDULING

  • We highly recommend having an account as it will allow you to:

    • See your past lessons scheduled

    • View your future lessons scheduled

    • View any credits you have

    • Be able to schedule lessons through the app if desired

    • Cancel lessons

    • Reschedule lessons

    • Save client information so you don't need to re-input info in each field every time you schedule.

We recommend creating an account before scheduling.

  • If canceling within 48 hours of the start time of the lesson you will need to message info@swimmingwith.org and or text our phone number 425-243-3558. Please provide swimmer details:

    • First and last name

    • Time, date, and location of lesson of the lesson

    • The instructor

This way we can find your appointment with ease.

If cancelling with more than 48 hours before the start time of your lesson, then log into your account and select the lesson on your schedule you wish to cancel, and cancel it.

The credit will go back onto your account to use later.

  • We need to ensure that we can communicate to the pool facility we are renting pool space from, about the pool space we are using. This 48 hour time frame allows us to move around all the moving pieces that go on in the background in order to offer swim lessons to you and others and pay our instructor’s for their time.

  • Every two months the schedule is released. An email is sent out prior to the drop, letting you know the date and time. You can schedule as many lessons as you’d like for two months.

You need to be subscribed to the green email list, that is located at the bottom of this page, in order to receive these updates.

We operate this way because of the pool’s scheduling rules but also to allow everyone to get the chance to receive lessons every couple of months and not sit on a waitlist for years.

  • Click here to navigate to sign up for the Short List

This is located at the bottom of this page.

No, we do not have a wait-list though Instead, we have the ability to send out upcoming short notice availability alerts through the Short Notice subscription list. This way you can take advantage of what another couldn’t.

  • Towels, hair tie or swim cap for long hair, swimsuit, goggles.

Goggles with clear lenses are best though tinted or mirrored goggles may be appropriate for outdoor swimming.

Parka if desired. Not everyone uses them.

Wet suit - only recommended for smaller swimmers who are adventurous and want the flexibility to use the lap pools and or outdoor pools during the school year.

Please message us for links for any of the items recommended above if needed. We especially have favorite goggles to recommend.

  • Any swimmer 2 years or above who is ready to enjoy the water more than once a week.

Keep in mind you can create an immersion lesson set to work at your pace by scheduling your week how you see appropriate through our scheduling page.

Swimmers who may not be able to do lessons year round once a week. For example; those who can only come in for lessons during summer, or school breaks during the school year, etc.

Anyone who wants to learn in a short amount of time and can commit to many hours in the water in a short amount of time.

It can be impressive how much one can learn when applying immersion style lessons as the learning compounds more easily from lesson to lesson.

  • People do the following for one or two weeks at a time.

Five or six - 30-min lessons M-S (most popular for one or two weeks)

Five or four 60-min lessons M-F

Three 60-min lessons during the week (most popular for two weeks)

Five or four 30-min lessons during the week

Keep in mind you will get the most out of your week and have the potential to see the most progress with more lessons scheduled within one week, respectfully. Consider your learning style and what you or your swimmer may be able to handle.

Keep in mind any additional lessons you can schedule along the way, even if only one additional lesson sometimes, can help aid you and or your swimmer to progress forward sooner.

  • Our instructors can work with swimmers from 6 months to adults, while not all of our instructors work with all ages, as a team we have you covered!

It is always a good time to start for any age!

  • We teach at multiple locations.

To learn more click here to learn about Our Locations.

Or navigate to the bottom of the Our Program page.

  • In order to have a productive class it is good to avoid small pools and busy pool times.

Some busy times may be the evening 4:00 - 6:00 in the warm springs pool at Bellevue Aquatic Center. In the warm springs pool during open swim time (see BAC’s pool schedule on their website)

Some not so busy areas or times may be the Blue lagoon pool at BAC and or Strattonwood pool or other locations if available. Times before 3:30 pm or after 6:00 pm.

Feel free to message us before scheduling so we can help you to not schedule into a busy pool time.

  • Semi private lessons are done with two students of similar ages and levels. We do not provide the other student but it can be a sibling, classmate or friend.

If needed message us before scheduling so we can make sure the swimmers will be a good fit to work together and set realistic expectations.

  • Lessons take place back to back.

The last 2 minutes of each lesson will be for the teacher to help the current swimmers out of the water, and invite the next swimmers into the pool.

If you need to discuss anything about the lesson with the instructor this will need to be done during the lesson time.

Our instructors are people too, and sometimes a bathroom break will be necessary. Swimming With reserves the right for their instructors to take a quick break if they need to make use of the restroom facilities. If possible, this time will happen near the start or end of the lesson.

  • We do not offer make ups.

  • You can either use the time from your 10-pack for the 2 or 3 swimmer lessons, not adjusting the cost or you can purchase a one time (or a 10-pack of) 1 or 2 swimmer lesson(s) to start using.

The lesson rate will not be able to be adjusted for no shows or lessons canceled or wanting to be adjusted within 48 hours of the start time of the lesson.

  • Everyone is different we typically start to see improvement from 8-10 weeks at a time.

While everyone’s progress is different, this is why we created the 10-packs to be ten 30-min lessons (or if you choose to schedule five 60-min lessons). This will be the best way to start and set any swimmer up for success.

The instructor will update you of your or your child’s progress during the lesson as skills progress.

  • Ask your instructor during the lesson time as this type of question is considered part of the swim lesson service. Be aware that you may not need to ask this during every lesson in order to maximize swim time though asking this from time to time is great!

Copy what you do in class. If you covered a lot try and pick one or two skills to try on your own.

Even beginners at any level can start practicing on their own in a lifeguarded pool. Your practice could be walking around in the water with your face in or out of the water. Do what you can and you will surprise yourself.

Click here to view our Levels PDF or navigate to the “Our Program” page to print out your level. This can be a helpful guide for independent practice as well.

  • If you are in swim lessons then please ask your instructor and or message us at info@swimmingwith.org.

Click here to view our Levels PDF or navigate to the “Our Program” page to print out your level.

    Fearful swimmer - Level 0

    Beginner swimmer - Level 1 and 2

    Intermediate swimmer - Level 3 and 4

    Advanced swimmer - Level 5 and 6+

  • Classes may be canceled by Swimming With at short notice if the pool is not fit for teaching purposes or if an instructor is unable to be at work for safety reasons.

In the unfortunate event we have to cancel a lesson, we will notify you as soon as possible via the method that we believe is most appropriate to ensure you have received the message in a timely manner. We cannot guarantee that you will be contacted as all parties of Swimming With may be in the water teaching.

In these circumstances, Swimming With will credit the client for the cost of that lesson back onto their account to use to schedule later. We may authorize a refund to the original payment method if requested via messaging Swimming With.

  • In the event of contamination at the designated pool, Swimming With may relocate the lesson to another pool within the facility. This may result in lessons taking place in a pool with different temperature conditions. For example; warm pool to cooler pool or vice versa depending on the availability of alternative pools.

  • If the swimmer is not toilet trained, please ensure that they wear a suitable swim diaper under their swimsuit.

    Photo for example, click here

The swim diapers should have elastic around the waist and each leg of the swimmer in order to avoid any accidental fecal releases.

Please encourage children to shower and use the toilet before their lesson starts.
